The biggest design events of Autumn 2019

After the summer break, September is the start of a new season in the world of design.  Grab your diary and take note of the biggest design events happening this autumn.

Paris Design Week

Paris, from September 5 to September 14

The spirit of Maison & Objet, the decorating and interior design fair that will take place from September 6 to 10, will invade the city, taking over its design week.  Talks, exhibitions, exclusive events, themed walks, art, fashion, decoration…it all has a place at Paris Design Week.

London Design Festival

London, from September 14 to September 22

The heart of this festival is the London Design Fair, with more than 500 speakers and original campaigns, including the Milk Stand, a pop-up store by Design Milk, Crossovers from the platform for independent creators Adorno, and the exhibition dedicated to biomaterials, nominated as the Material of the Year for this edition of the festival.

Valencia Disseny Week

Valencia, from September 17 to September 20

Similar to Paris, Valencia has shaped their design week around Hábitat, the fastest-growing interior design fair in Spain.  Some highlights include Salón Nude, which presents experimental design, and Ágora, a program of talks about trends and design.  At the same time, the city will be buzzing with activities organised by ADCV, including the Astral Bodies exhibit, which had its debut in Milan.

Dutch Design Week

Eindoven, from October 19 to October 27

Experimentation and innovation are the identifying traits of the biggest design festival in Holland, which is becoming more international every year and is now on everybody’s calendar, including those of Dezeen and Elle Décor.  In 2019, you will see work from almost 3,000 designers looking to shape the future.

Baars & Bloemhoff – Bone Interieurwerken

Dubai Design Week

Dubai, from November 11 to November 16

The Emirati city has become the design capital of the Middle East.  The Dubai Design District will host the majority of the events during the design week, making it the meeting point for the creative community and raising awareness of the talent there through installations, exhibitions, and a trade fair.
