Eneida Case Study: industrialized construction, 60% faster and more sustainable

Llucmajor is one of Mallorca’s most charming villages, famous for its leather crafts and located just twenty minutes from Palma and close to coastal areas with crystal-clear waters such as Cala Vella and Cala Maioris. This unique location is the position of the case study we want to present to you, a model of industrialized construction: the Eneida development by AEDAS Homes, consisting of 16 single-family and semi-detached villas with four bedrooms, each with a private pool and garden.

Designed by Estudio Lamela and featuring industrialized carpentry from WES Panel, this work redefines the relationship between contemporary design and environmental respect. One of the key aspects of the project has been the integration of the innovative SuperPan Tech P5 material, used in the lightweight frame structure. This compound, with up to 40% recycled material, has accelerated construction times without compromising aesthetics or quality. “We’ve decided to reintroduce wood into construction because it’s renewable, sustainable, and reduces CO₂ emissions much more significantly than other materials“, explains Luis García Malo, operations director of AEDAS Homes.

Industrialization has been the decisive factor. Ángel Alfocea, CEO of WES Panel, emphasizes: “We can build a 180 m² house every two days”. This rapid pace has reduced delivery times by more than 60% compared to traditional construction, allowing homes to be completed in just three months. Furthermore, the industrialized process minimizes construction waste and improves the precision of each part, ensuring greater durability and energy efficiency.

Estudio Lamela’s design embraces the warmth and versatility of wood. “It is one of the noblest materials that surrounds human beings,” comments Carlos Lamela, highlighting how the lightweight structure of SuperPan Tech P5 has facilitated the creation of open, bright and welcoming spaces, while allowing for better integration with the Mediterranean environment. The large windows and terraces visually connect the interior with the exterior, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness and well-being.

Eneida is more than an architectural project: it is proof that innovation, sustainability, and design can advance together, raising the standards of contemporary construction.
