3 must-sees at the Milan Salone del Mobile 2023

The 61st Milan Salone del Mobile is back from April 18 to April 23 this year.  As we do every year, we here at Connections by Finsa are highlighting three essential aspects of this huge international design event that will feature more than 2,000 brands from 170 countries:

A single floor dedicated to design

The itinerary will be simpler this year because, for the first time, it will take place on a single floor, making a walk through the event much more intuitive.  That means there is no excuse for not seeing every single stall.

Let there be light!

Euroluce, the International Lighting Exhibition, takes place every two years and features a semi-circular route that highlights the importance of the experience with products, replacing the traditional, central stand format.  It’s an interesting approach that outlines an authentic declaration of intent applicable to design: make the person the central focus once again.

Sustainability and mixed spaces

Sustainability and the materials we use for architecture and interior design projects are once again the stars of the Salone.  One of the exhibits, El sentido de la madera (The Meaning of Wood), asks this question using the concept of ‘workspitality’, common spaces for hotels and offices created with different uses in mind, including taking a break from work.

Keep an eye on Connections by Finsa because, during Salone week, we will post our detailed look at this event, which always marks a turning point in interior design.
