ARCHITECT@WORK returns to Kortrijk on 15 and 16 May 2025 for its 12th edition, establishing itself as a key event for architecture and interior design professionals worldwide. Under the motto “Thoughtful Tomorrow” invites us to reflect on how innovation can contribute to a smarter, more resilient, and sustainable built environment.

 

An event with international projection

Since its first edition in Kortrijk, ARCHITECT@WORK has expanded its presence internationally, taking place in cities such as Brussels, Hamburg, Stuttgart, and Zurich. This expansion has allowed professionals worldwide to share knowledge and trends in architecture and interior design.

 

The 5 must-sees of ARCHITECT@WORK Kortrijk 2025

  1. Seminars with international experts
    The seminar program will feature renowned speakers such as Lucy Tilley (Adjaye Associates) and Dominic Wood (Studio Tim Fu), who will share innovative strategies and pioneering projects. Additionally, trendwatchers Herman Konings and Tom Palmaerts will explore the impact of technology on architecture and offer insights into future design scenarios.
  2. MaterialDistrict’s “Super Skins” Exhibition
    The “Super Skins” exhibition, curated by MaterialDistrict, will feature more than 120 samples of innovative and sustainable materials. This exhibition highlights how surface finishes can transform architectural design, offering solutions that combine aesthetics and functionality.
  3. Seminar “Bio(based) within budget”
    This seminar on the 16th will address how to integrate natural and bio-based materials into architectural projects without exceeding the budget. Strategies for reducing environmental impact through the use of sustainable materials, such as wood, without compromising economic viability will be discussed.
  4. Architectuur Kortrijk photo exhibition
    A photography exhibition organized by Architectuur Kortrijk will offer an artistic vision of the built environment, highlighting local architectural projects and their integration into the urban landscape.
  5. Networking in lounge areas
    With nearly 300 carefully selected exhibitors, the event offers ample opportunities to network in a relaxed atmosphere, with lounge areas designed to encourage the exchange of ideas between professionals.

ARCHITECT@WORK Kortrijk 2025 will be held in Kortrijk Xpo, in halls 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free upon registration. A must-attend event for those seeking inspiration and keeping up with the latest trends in architecture and interior design.
